Meet the teachers

Aimee O’Reilly

Principal & teacher

‘My local dance school was a huge part of my childhood. It gave me confidence, friends, and kept me active, focused, inspired and self disciplined. At 17 I took full time performing arts training and turned my hobby into my career. I performed in many pantomimes as the principal boy, was part of the show team at a popular holiday resort, toured residential homes performing songs from classical musicals and sang as part of a duo at functions and events. My biggest passion is teaching, which I have been doing for more than 18 years. I love seeing students grow, thrive and achieve things they didn’t think they could! As well as teaching, I work as an actor and have featured in commercials with my family for brands such as Centerparcs and Mackies ice cream.’

Coralie Hughes

Musical Theatre

‘For as far back as I can remember, I have always thrived in theatre. After leaving sixth form I began performing professionally, and would also partake in local amateur productions at any given opportunity! Eventually, my passion for musical theatre steered me directly into the wonderful world of children’s theatre, and over the years I have written, directed and performed in a variety of shows for thousands of children across the UK. I have always greatly enjoyed implementing the use of puppetry in children’s theatre, as I believe it provides a vibrancy and energy that captivates the imagination of a young audience (the grown-ups love it too!)’

Daniella Cross

Assistant

’I have been dancing and taking part in musical theatre from a very young age both on stage and off. It has always been something I have enjoyed and been very passionate about. I am currently doing the new t-level at college in early years and in September aiming to go to university to study a primary education degree. I have also been involved in scouting all my life which has taught me valuable life skills that I will cherish and use. I can’t wait to share my infectious love for musical theatre with Theatre Box!’
